Hermetic Seal Technology specializes in manufacturing lithium battery seals. 

HST makes its own lithium corrosion resistant glass that is superior in application where it is exposed to lithium  battery electrolytes such as Lithium / thionyl chloride (Li/SOCl₂), Lithium / sulfur dioxide (Li/SO₂), and  lithium / manganese  dioxide (LiMnO₂).    HST lithium corrosion resistant glass will give the battery a long self life without worry about glass corrosion problems.

HST can seal into an eyelet, seal directly into the battery lid, or even hermetically weld the eyelet into the lid.  HST has specially designed eyelets that can be either resistance welded or laser welded into the battery lid.

HST can also provide 100% leak checking of all parts to guarantee that the seal (and weld) is hermetic to better than 1 x 10-8 cc/sec helium.  No other company can offer this 100% guarantee.
